SUMMARY:1st Annual Women's Veteran Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Event Description: A private group of women veterans from Colorado’s Western Slope will gather at Camp Always Choose Adventures for a weekend of connection\, reflection\, and rejuvenation. This retreat is focused on nurturing both mental and physical well-being through time spent in nature\, adventures\, shared experiences\, and supportive community. \nTicket Notification: To ensure a safe and organized experience at Camp ACA\, all visitors\, regardless of age\, are required to register and obtain a ticket prior to arrival. This policy allows us to accurately manage attendance\, adhere to safety regulations\, and provide appropriate resources for all participants. By securing your ticket in advance\, you help us maintain a secure environment and contribute to the overall success of our events.  \nQuiet Time starts at 10:00PM  \nOrganized Event Schedule:  \n  \nFriday\, June 13th  \n\n1:00 PM: Arrival and campsite setup\n4:30 PM: Gather for introductions\n5:00 pm: Dinner\n7:00 pm: Sunset Hike – Mt Pisgah\, 10\,200 feet\, 1 mile hike with 800 feet of elevation gain.\n9:00 pm: Campfire gathering/sharing\n10:00 pm: Quiet time\n\nSaturday\, June 14th  \n\n5:30 am: Sunrise Yoga at Camp ACA Overlook\n7:30 PM: Coffee/Breakfast\n10:00 am: Team Building/Resiliency Training\n12:00 pm: Lunch/Free time\n2:00 pm: Paddleboarding at Lake\n5:00 pm: Dinner\n7:00 pm: Team Building/Resiliency Training\n9:00 pm: Campfire gathering/sharing\n10:00 pm: Quiet time\n\nSunday\, June 15th  \n\n5:30 am: Sunrise Yoga at Camp ACA Overlook\n7:30 PM: Coffee/Breakfast\n10:00 am: Team Building/Resiliency Training\n12:00 pm: Lunch/Free time\n2:00 pm: Paddleboarding at Lake\n5:00 pm: Dinner\n7:00 pm: Team Building/Resiliency Training\n9:00 pm: Campfire gathering/sharing\n10:00 pm: Quiet time\n\nMonday\, June 16th  \n\n5:30 am: Sunrise Yoga at Camp ACA Overlook\n7:30 PM: Coffee/Breakfast\n10:00 am: Check out\n\nWhat to Bring:  \n\nPersonal items: Medications\, sunscreen\, hats\, sunglasses\, chapstick\, camera.\nCamping Gear: Tent\, sleeping bag\, sleeping pad\, and any personal camping equipment you may want\, or use Camp ACA’s – if you don’t have any!\nYour OHV! Bring your ATVs\, Side By Sides\, Razors\, etc for a fun weekend on the trails.\nOutdoor Essentials: Headlamp or flashlight\, reusable water bottle\, appropriate clothing for weather conditions*\, and personal hygiene items. *We are located at 9\,200 Feet Above Sea Level\, please bring extra warm clothing\, and camping gear\, as it may be very cold overnight\, even if it is warm in Denver.\nOptional Items: Musical instruments\, storytelling materials\, binoculars or telescopes for stargazing\, and a camp chair or blanket for seating.\n\nWe Provide:  \n\nFirewood: No need to bring firewood!\nCamping Gear: If you don’t have camping gear\, we can provide anything you may need to make your stay enjoyable. Please contact us beforehand to coordinate. ○ Paddleboards! We have a lake just 10 minutes from our campground.\n\nEvent Guidelines:  \n\nLeave No Trace: We are committed to preserving the natural beauty of our campsite. Please pack out all trash and minimize your environmental impact.\nSafety First: Camp ACA is a drug and alcohol free zone.
