SUMMARY:Overnight Survival Skills Experience
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Veterans Exploration Therapy at Camp Always Choose Adventures (Camp ACA) \nVeterans Exploration Therapy\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit\, invites participants to join them for the following experience hosted at Camp ACA: \nJoin us for an immersive overnight Survival Skills Experience designed to push comfort zones\, build confidence\, and develop real world skills in a controlled and supportive environment. \nDuring this hands on overnight program\, participants will learn the psychology of survival situations and how the mind reacts under stress. We will cover the Rule of Threes and how it guides decision making in emergency scenarios\, along with practical instruction on finding and purifying clean water\, building and maintaining fire\, and constructing effective shelters using available resources. Participants will also learn how to identify and safely use common survival plants for nourishment and practical use in the field. \nAfter learning the fundamentals\, participants will put their skills to use. Using their own gear and the techniques learned throughout the day\, participants will spend the night on the Always Choose Adventures property\, navigating the realities of shelter\, warmth\, food awareness\, and problem solving in a real world outdoor setting. \nThis experience is intentionally designed to challenge participants while emphasizing teamwork\, adaptability\, and confidence in unfamiliar environments. No prior survival experience is required. This is about learning\, growth\, and discovering what you are capable of when you slow down\, adapt\, and trust the process. \nCome ready to learn\, adapt\, and embrace the challenge.
