Join me for a guided trail run from Camp Always Choose Adventures on a variety of easy to moderate 4WD trails. This will be a small group limited to a small group of vehicles and their passengers.
We will be on the trail for 2-3 hours ascending to around 10,500 feet in elevation on narrow high-clearance 4WD trails, through groves of evergreen and aspen trees with a couple of stops to enjoy mountain views. I will share a few 4WD tips before and during the drive.
Vehicles are required to have a 2-speed transfer case with low range, 31” tires (preferably off-road AT/RT/MT tires), a full size spare tire, and recovery points front and rear (factory tie downs and a tow hitch are acceptable).
We will be airing down tires for traction, comfort, and treading lightly – we will have spare airing down and airing up tools to share, and we will be using 4LO in remote areas so your vehicle needs to be in good mechanical condition.
We will depart Camp Always Choose Adventures at 10am and return around 1p so we can enjoy the other festivities that day.
Come prepared for a variety of weather (all four seasons in one day!, sturdy close-toed footwear, sun protection, and plenty of water and snacks. Also make sure you have at least 3/4 tank of fuel.
If you don’t have a suitable vehicle, but would like to ride along, we will have a limited number of additional seats for passengers, but cannot guarantee seats for everyone.
