Always Choose Adventures is a grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based out of Central City, Colorado, just 15 minutes from Idaho Springs.

Always Choose Adventures (ACA) is breaking barriers to bring the outdoors to title 1 schools, GED programs, and our youth. As a Colorado-based 501(c)3 nonprofit with a strong history of improving lives through adventures over the past eight years, we are thrilled to announce the launch of Camp ACA in June 2024, made possible by our special use permit from the Gilpin County Board of Commissioners. Camp ACA stands out as the first off-grid outdoor educational campground nationwide, offering all necessary outdoor gear for outdoor activities to serve our youth. The camp focuses on off-grid workshops that cover sustainability, leave no trace principles, wildlife, and outdoor gear education. Camp ACA's Leaders are highly educated and trained outdoor education professionals that believe in the healing power of adventures and the great outdoors.
