To ensure the return of our gear and equipment, when gear exchange takes places member will complete a gear rental form that includes debit or credit card number. Replacement cost for lost, stolen or destroyed rental equipment is full retail value, plus transition fees of 3.5% + 15¢ - no exceptions

The Equipment is provided as is and with all faults. We make no warranty, express or implied (including without limitation, any and all warranties of suitability, merchantability and/or fitness for any particular purpose), nor do we make any warranty against interference, infringement, that the Equipment is fit for your intended use, application or environment, or that it is free from defects (latent or patent). No warranties shall be deemed to exist with respect to the equipment. Your sole remedy for any failure of or defect in or with respect to any of the Equipment is termination of the accrual of rental charges at the time of failure.
Assumption of Risk
Person using gear library equipment must be a paid ACA member. You acknowledge that the possession, use, transportation and/or storage of the Equipment may give rise to the risk of personal injury and/or property damage. You voluntarily assume all such risk and release and discharge Always Choose Adventures. and the Equipment from any and all liens, liabilities, and claims arising in connection with the same, including without limitation, any and all claims arising from or in connection with Our negligence (other than Our intentional misconduct). You assume all risks associated with the possession, use, transportation and storage of the Equipment. Accordingly, You hereby waive any and all liens and claims arising from or associated with, and agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Always Choose Adventures and it's directors, ambassadors and associated partners from and against, any and all liabilities, claims, damages, losses, costs and expenses (including without limitation, attorney’s fees, claims for bodily injury (including deaths), property damage, loss of time/and or inconvenience) resulting from or arising in connection with such possession, use, transportation and/or storage, regardless of the cause and including any injuries and/or damages suffered by you.
Rentals returned late without prior notification will be charged the first day's rate for each day late - no exceptions.
Damaged/abused/dirty/lost or stolen policy
If rental equipment is returned in damaged or dirty condition, the renter will be responsible for cleaning and repair costs. Replacement cost for lost, stolen or destroyed rental equipment is full retail value, plus transition fees of 3.5% + 15¢ - no exceptions
Equipment Rentals FAQ
We know you must have questions about the ACA FREE Rental Membership Program (especially if you have never rented outdoor equipment before).
Below is a list of the most asked questions that we receive about our rentals and the rental process. Questions such as how to reserve the rentals, what is included in the rental, the payment process and how to make changes to the order.
Once you have gone through all of the questions, we hope you were able to find the answers helpful. But if you still have any other question that has not been answered below, please feel free to contact us and we will get back to you shortly.
Q: When should I reserve my equipment?
A: We take reservations of rentals at any length of time. We do, however, suggest that you reserve your equipment as early as possible to avoid potential disappointments.
Q: How can I reserve the rental equipment?
A: Please email us at with the equipment you are requesting and we can put it aside for you.
Q: Where and when do I pick-up my rentals?
A: Rentals should be picked-up during business hours or by appointment only during weekends. Rentals may be dropped off at our location during business hours. However, if you are unable to return the equipment by 1:00PM (or your agreed upon return time), you should contact us directly to notify us of any unexpected changes. We do understand that such changes may happen, and as a result, will do our best to accommodate them.
You will have your security deposit returned in full once the equipment is inspected and ensured that it is in good working condition. Rental fees are based on a daily rental rate. Some equipment may be rented by the hour.
Q: What happens if I return the equipment late or damaged?
A: Members returning damaged equipment will be charged half the market value of the equipment, if member is unable to pay for damage a payment arrangement will be made with member and ACA. Members are responsible for all lost, stole and damaged equipment.
The Damage Fee equals the cost associated with repair, including shipping, labour, repair, and replacement parts. If the equipment is beyond repair or the cost of repairs are more than the replacement value, the client will be charged the RETAIL price to replace the broken equipment.
A Cleaning Fee of $25 will be charged if the equipment is returned dirty or wet beyond normal use. We expect our equipment to get dirty, but if cleaning requires excessive amount of time to prepare for the next client, a cleaning fee will apply.
Late Fees will incur if equipment is not returned by the contracted date on the rental agreement. The member will be notified of impending late fees. Late Fees for each item per day will be charged to the credit card deposit for up to one (1) week. At that point, the credit card deposit will be charged the retail replacement cost (see above).
Q: Do I have to set up my tent when it is returned?
A: No, but sometimes it will be requested especially with any indications that the condition of the return may warrant immediate inspection (disorganized, soaking wet, dirty, etc). As with all items, the tent will be inspected thoroughly for missing parts and any damages. By checking the condition, organizing and air-drying before returning, you can eliminate unnecessary time.
Q: Do you have any sport rental equipment available for children? #ReWildYourChild
A: Absolutely yes. We offer rental equipment for children, including: snowshoes, microspikes, sleeping bags, and much more. We do, however, suggest that parents will be involved in the process of renting any sports equipment.
