Thank you for considering volunteering at Camp Always Choose Adventures, the first off-grid outdoor education campground in the United States. 

We are in need of in-kind donations, monetary contributions, volunteers, and sponsors, as we prepare for our grand opening on June 22nd.

After parking at Mt Pisgah Trailhead, please walk down the hill .3 Miles to Camp Always Choose Adventures. (Follow the Signs)

Camp Always Choose Adventures

With volunteer opportunities every weekend in June! We will have senior ACA volunteers assisting our daily volunteers with instructions and directions on these tasks. 

Please bring the following gear/items with you: 

• Drinking Water / Water Bottle (We will have extra water!)
• Sack Lunch
• Working Gloves
• Clothes you expect to get dirty 
• Work Boots / Hiking Boots / Closed Toed Shoes
• Bug Spray (We will have extra)
• Sunscreen (We will have extra)
• Light Jacket / Rain Coat

 

We could use your help with the following tasks to get ready for the opening:

• Preparing Campsites
• Clearing brush and debris
• Move Swamp Angel Sign From Property Entry Way to Swamp Angel Mine
• Create Camp Always Choose Adventures Sign - Place Over Entry Way to Property
• Cutting trees
• Fixing fencing
• Installing fencing (upper part of property)
• Installing solar string lights
• Installing natural fencing (lower part of property)
• Installing Wi-Fi boosters
• Installing shade covers
• Road Maintenance (Skid Steers, Jack Hammers, Backhoes, heavy equipment needed and appreciated!) 
• Removal of small, medium and large boulder rocks (on the road to Central City)
• Dig Drainage Ditch on road to Central City ( Water Hole) 
• Finish Installing Fire Extingishers / Oxygen / Medical Stations
• Install / Hang Up Wifi Password Signs
• Install Donation Bin outside of Camp ACA (Looking for a Civil War / Prospecting Bucket to collect monetary donations from recreational users)
• Prepare Kid Playground / Play Area
• Prepare Hammock Hang Area
• Prepare Yoga Area
• Misc Tasks
